Escribimos esta entrada a modo de saludo inicial y para recordaros que esta tarde, a las 17:00 en el gimnasio del edificio de arriba, tendrá lugar la reunión de principio de curso.

MATTER

 These days we are starting a new project called "The time machine" in which we're going to learn about:

- Matter, materials and mixtures. 

- Energy

- Machines

First, we are talking about matter. To make things easier (comparative adjective) here you have a couple of presentations that can help you review what we are doing in the class.

COMPARATIVE AND SUPERLATIVE ADJECTIVES

 HI!

We are studying comparative and superlative adjectives. Here you have some online activities to practice. But first...

Remember!

We use comparatives and superlatives to compare things and to say which thing is top in a group. 

Add ‘-er’ and ‘-est’ for one syllable adjectives. 

Add ‘-ier’ and ‘-iest’ for two syllable adjectives which end in ‘y’ (and take away the ‘y’).

Use ‘more’ and ‘the most’ with other two syllable (or more) adjectives.

one syllable: small – smaller – the smallest
two syllables with ‘y’: happy – happier – the happiest
two+ syllables: beautiful – more beautiful – the most beautiful

Be careful!

The adjectives ‘good’, ‘bad’ and ‘far’ have special forms.
good – better – the best
bad – worse – the worst
far – further – the furthest

In the last one there are a lot of exercises. First you have to click in one of the categories on the left, where it says "Index of contents", then choose an exercise. (En el último enlace hay muchos ejercicios. Primero tenéis que hacer click en la una de las categorías de la izquierda, donde dice "Index of contents"; después, hacer click en uno de los ejercicios).

Buenos días, os adjuntamos aquí un pequeño link para la lectura de unas pequeñas fábulas durante estas vacaciones. Tendréis que escoger 2 fábulas, leerlas y adivinar la moraleja. Para ello, no caigáis en la tentación de leer la moraleja que aparece debajo de cada historieta. Primero pensad, después escribid y para finalizar comparad. Así podréis comprobar si lo habéis entendido.

VERTEBRATES

 Hi everybody! As you know, we are studying vertebrate animals. Vertebrates most important characteristic is that they have a backbone.

Bones in our body are important for two reasons: 

• They support the body
• They protect important organs

Vertebrates can be divided in 5 categories. Some of them are cold blooded and some are warm blooded.

Warm blooded:  mammals and birds.

Cold blooded: fish, reptiles and amphibians.

Kaixo familiak! Proiektu honetan zehar artistak izan gara: aurkezleak, magoak, txiste kontalariak... Magia egin eta txisteak kontatzeko unea eman ahal izateko, zer ikusia duten faktore desberdinak landu ditugu eta bukatzeko, txikiagoek bideo baten bidez ikusiko duten ikuskizun bat prestatu eta egin dugu. Ea gustatzen zaizuen! ;)

Kaixo familiak! A lo largo de este proyecto de este proyecto hemos sido artistas: presentadores/as, magos/as, contadores/as de chistes... Para poder hacer magia y contar chistes, hemos trabajado diferentes factores que tienen que ver con los espectáculos que de una manera u otra conocemos y para terminar, hemos preparado y realizado un espectáculo que niños/as más pequeños/as verá a través de un vídeo. ¡A ver si os gusta! ;)
